Armand’s TVC directing career launched when he found himself on breakfast TV because his comedy spot Manchild was a finalist in the global Doritos Crash the Superbowl competition. Since, he’s won awards at Spikes, Adfest, AWARD and a number of BestAds gongs. Before commercials, his directing career began in Network promos where he was responsible for the launch campaigns of Australia’s biggest TV events. He’s won Gold twice for his promo directing work at the prestigious US Promax Awards. His short films have been selected as finalists at over twenty internationally recognised film festivals including Tropfest, the St Kilda Film Festival, Aspen, LA Shorts and the YouTube Screening room and his first feature has won Wild Card development from Screen Australia. An accomplished musician and dancer, Armand is also an actor, having studied with Hollywood’s leading acting coaches, including Ivana Chubbuck, Larry Moss and Elly Burstyn of the Actor’s studio. He credits this study as the secret behind his ability to guide performers to create unforgettable characters. Armand is driven by a passion for daring creative. He has an uncanny ability to elevate genres by exploring their antitheses, finding humour in emotion and drama in comedy. He’s crafted a unique and versatile voice and is a natural storyteller regardless of the genre.
